Reasoning

Often the LHMM places the writings of Russell and Johnson above the Bible, reason, and facts. What are our REASONS to believe? Many times the arguments presented in meetings get so complex that it is difficult to simply state the reason a doctrine might be true.

Here’s an exercise in reasons that should really help: Pick a subject or doctrine you feel strongly about. List three reasons why you believe that is true. Reasons can be Scriptures, facts, logic, etc. If you can’t think of three reasons then you really don’t understand WHY you believe that. It may be that you accept it as fact entirely on FAITH. If that is the case, you need to admit it...and also admit that someone else that doesn’t believe what you do, but has some reasons behind his/her belief could be right as well.

The REASON you believe something should NOT be because Russell or Johnson said so. If you can’t explain it to others then you don’t really understand it. FAITH needs to be based on something otherwise it is a blind faith.

"The REASON you believe something should NOT be because Russell or Johnson said so."

sir,
please study the volume "the Divine Plan Of The Ages". on page 10 Pastor Russell does not ask anyone to take his word as reason for belief.

"We have endeavored to uncover
enough of the foundation upon which all faith should be
built—the Word of God—to give confidence and assurance
in its testimony, even to the unbeliever. And we have
endeavored to do this in a manner that will appeal to and can be accepted by reason as a foundation."

so one's belief according to him should be based on
1. the Word of God
2. one's reason

the same spirit was in pastor Johnson also. all his reasoning is supported by Bible verses. and one does not have any doubt about this if he has studied pastor Johnson's volumes carefully

This is good lip service to what would seem reasonable. Unfortunately, it does not hold up to actual practice within the LHMM. There are many things that no reasonable person could ever conclude from the Scriptures without taking them on faith from Johnson. Most notably, the types of Paul Johnson.
