Learning True Doctrine

Is it possible to learn true doctrine without following the writings of Russell and Johnson? In Present Truth 1940 page 12 it says,
“And whoever refuses to be taught by Jesus, speaking through these special mouthpieces, is not taught by the Lord Jesus at all; and the interpretations that such get are from Satan; and not from the Lord , since Jesus interprets the Bible through His special mouthpieces. These have no monopoly on it at all. He has that monopoly. He is pleased, and always has been pleased to use certain brethren in the Church through whom He gives His interpretations to the others, and does not give the others the interpretations through their study of the Bible alone.”

The light that gets brighter shows that the source of understanding would continue to progress. The faithful slave that Jesus himself identified as the one who would provide food at the proper time would be used to identify the light or food at the proper time.

We can hardly believe that we have the direction from Jesus if we have not correctly identified the slave Jesus said would be put in charge of all of his belongings. Do you know who the slave is and can you prove it?
